چکیده

New developments in thermosets based on bioproducts are gaining significance due to the importance of replacing and their monomers, traditionally obtained from petrochemical processes, with biobased prepared biomass. In context new BPA/DGEBA replacements both enhanced performance reduced toxicity development innovative thermosetting resins, conversion plant biomass, especially natural phenols, into useful polymeric materials is believed have considerable environmental economic value. Eugenols receiving encouraging interest, not only sourcing but also structure chemical properties, which could enhance physical characteristics materials, reduce toxic effects environment human health. The present review mainly focuses utilization eugenol for synthesis epoxy its describing synthetic details designs eugenol-based monomer and/or additive component preparation that conducive formation eugenol-containing materials. Synthetic methods monomers classified according principles green chemistry divided three large groups: single reactions, consecutive multicomponent reactions. Outstanding formulated described.

Interface Diffusion and Morphology of Aerospace Grade Epoxy Co-cured with Thermoplastic Polymers

Interfaces formed during the co-curing of an aerospace grade epoxy resin in contact with PEI, PES, and PSU surfaces are examined in this work. The interface found in each scenario is characterized by optical microscopy, and low voltage Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) using Energy-Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) where applicable. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) in tapping mode is also used ...

Understanding Rheology of Thermoplastic Polymers

1 AAN013 shear rate behavior. For example, gauge variation can be caused by variable post-extrusion die swell, and warpage can occur from non-uniform relaxation during cooling of an improperly formulated injection molding compound. Also, by testing at low enough shear rates so that the measurements are in the melt’s linear viscoelastic region, the data can be linked directly to the polymer’s mo...
